本専門演習の入口としてあらかじめテーマを絞ることはしません。初めに広く金融やコーポレート・ファイナンスについて理解を深め、各自が自らのテーマを絞りこみます。参加する学生には、経済学や金融の知識や理論に加え、分析ツールとしての統計や関連するPCアプリケーションについて習熟していることが期待されます。

専門演習Iでは、金融経済学やコーポレート・ファイナンスに関するトピックスについて更に研究を進めるための知識やスキルを身に着けることを目的としています。学生が金融やコーポレート・ファイナンスについての基本的知識および理解を有することを前提に、金融に関する問題について理論やデータ分析による説明を試みます。基本的にはグループワークによる議論を通じて一定の結論に至ることを目指します。教員は必要に応じ、追加課題の提供や補足的解説を行います。

専門演習Ⅱでは、各学生が、金融経済学やコーポレート・ファイナンス分野の中で特に各自の関心のあるトピックスについて講義をする形で理解を深めることを目指します。各「講義」において、学生間の活発な質疑応答やディスカッションを期待します。

専門演習Ⅲでは、卒業論文に向けて研究テーマの絞り込みと研究計画の作成を目指します。各学生自らの関心や「問い」から発し、それを学生間は教員と議論することを通じて問いを繰り返し、掘り下げることで研究テーマ絞り込むことを目指します。並行して、研究の進め方について理解を深め、研究計画を作成します。

専門演習Ⅳでは、作成された研究計画に従い、具体的に研究を進めます。定期的に研究の進捗を報告し、学生間で経験の共有やコメント、教員からのガイダンスを通じて、研究成果を得るよう目指します。

専門演習Ⅴでは、これまでの専門演習の成果としての卒業論文を執筆します。卒業論文完成後、それぞれの研究成果についてプレゼン、質疑応答を行い、学生間で共有します。

At the beginning of this series of Seminar, a theme of study is not specified. Students will find their own theme as they study generally about monetary economics and corporate finance. Students attending the Seminar are expected to have skills of using statistics and related PC applications as well as knowledge and theories of economics and finance.

Seminar I is for students to acquire knowledge and skills to proceed further study in topics related to monetary or financial economics and corporate finance. Assuming that students have basic knowledge　and understanding, we try to explain financial issues using theories and data analysis. We are going to reach a certain conclusion basically through group discussion. The instructor may introduce additional issues to be discussed and supplemental explanation.

In Seminar II, students are required to provide “lectures” of topics in the monetary economics and corporate finance in which each student is interested thereby developing further knowledge and understanding about them. Students are also expected to perform active discussion in each “lecture.”

Seminar III is for students to determine a theme of a graduation thesis and make a study plan. Starting from a simple interest and a “question,” students will narrow down a study theme through repeated discussion among students and the instructor. At the same time, students learn about a process of study to make a study plan.

Seminar IV is for students to perform study for writing a graduation thesis. Periodic reports on the progress in study are required to share various experiences and suggestions as well as a guidance by the instructor in order to proceed toward obtaining results in the study.

In Seminar V, students write a graduation thesis as a result of the study performed in the previous seminars. After finalizing the thesis, students will make a presentation and have a question-and-answer session on the result of the study to share the results among students. 

授業時間内は英語のみ使用します。卒業論文は英語で執筆します。

Only English is used in class. A graduation thesis should be written in English.
