Pinch Pot

I was inspired by both the bee’s nest and the nautical chart. The swirls on the outside of the pot are inspired first by the swirls on the outside of the nest and then by the lines on the nautical chart. The swirls also came from the idea of a hurricane, something that starts at sea. I liked how random they were on the nest and how wavy they were on the chart. The dark colors on the outside were inspired by the colors of the nest, as well as the drips going in. I wanted to do the drips because they reminded me of honey. The blue on the inside I took from the nautical chart and the idea of the ocean in the sun.
