I would say my first polaroid collage of my friend in a tree is most unique. My favorite part is how my friend is grabbing one polaroid with her hand because it provides more of a 3D effect. My goal in creating this collage was to make my friend stand out from her surroundings and I think the included tree helps with that. When I chose this photo, I knew I could create a lot of interesting polaroids that would capture different parts of this image. I believe it works out because there are many outward subjects, like the tree branches and my friend, sticking out enough that I could assemble them to “pop out” of the polaroids. I thought it was cool how the polaroids became one with the tree and brought more focus on my friend. I also think the contrast of the bright blue sky with the dark tree makes it more eye-catching. I like how every polaroid connects different pieces of the photo. It provides an interesting perspective that you wouldn’t have noticed if there weren’t polaroids framing it. Separating parts of the photo with the polaroid creates a new emphasis, and once you multiply that by seven, you've ended up with numerous never before seen viewpoints. For instance, my friend’s legs and the bench in the background become focal points for their polaroids despite not originally being that distinct.
