Colored Shacks
I was at a grocery store in Fort Kent and these shacks stuck out to me. I like how the bright paint provides the parking lot with some color.
Half Sunsets
During a long drive in northern Maine, I noticed how the color of the sky through the car windshield was different from outside my window. The tint of the car windshield caused the sunset to have a bluer appearance. I liked how the car door was a border to express the contrast between the sky through the windshield compared to the actual color of the sky from outside the car window.
Flying into the Blue
On another car ride, I saw a great example of complementary colors in the sky. I found it interesting how there was a blend between blue and orange in the sky as the sunset approached. I also think the flying birds bring the photo together because it makes you focus on the blue part of the sky while the trees, houses, and power lines are subjects for the orange part of the photo.
Century Theater
The cinema in Fort Kent had a variety of colors so I thought it was perfect for color harmonies. The theater had the primary colors of red, blue, and yellow, as well as green to make the building pop out. I thought the old-fashioned style made the building more memorable.
