Purpose:
To communicate a variety of ideas using your camera or mobile device to create images by photographing “On the ground”. unique color schemes and perspectives;
To use this unusual perspective to help you to see things in a different way.
Falling Ice
When I went to take photos outside after school, this was the first thing that caught my eye. The reason I took this photo is that I was first intrigued by the hanging icicles and droplets of water. I thought that looking up at the lightbulb and icicles would give more effect of a lower point of view.
Window to Basement
I thought this photo did an accurate job of making you feel on the ground. While it's more of a grate and not technically a window to my basement, it does provide a slight view of the bottom story of my house when there is light so I call it a floor window. I also liked the fact that this image is a good example of background simplified since the main focus is on the grated tile than the space in the other room.
Cafeteria Wonders
I took this photo because I always thought that this section of the cafeteria would be a good location for photo taking. When focusing on the position of the chairs I was introduced to this whole new viewpoint that's only noticeable from the floor. I like this photo since it reminds me of the one-point perspective of a room assignment where every angle and line connects to the central rectangle as shown through the legs of these chairs and how they are all in line with each other.
