Creating Illusions

Purpose: To learn about the career of a visual effects artist;

• To learn how mythology inspires a variety of designs;

• To use Photoshop tools to alter and morph animals in a number of ways that build upon basic skills.

To make my work look professional, I tried out lots of different layouts and positions of my work before choosing the final piece. I added the secondary part (wings) to the image where the body of the seal ends to make the wings look like they’re coming from behind the seal. I then used the eraser tool at a lower opacity to blend it into the image.
