Goals for the semester: To gain an understanding of what graphic design is/ means and to improve my general art skill.

Reflecting on my goals for the semester: I think that I achieved some of my goals for the semester. I think that my general art skill has improved, esepcailly because of all of the practice / activities we did in class. This was not one of my goals, but i'm glad that I was able to become comfortable with using photoshop! At first, it seemed intimidating, but after learning how to use it photoshop I feel more experienced. I learned a lot about how art can be used to make people feel certain things, especially when learning about logo designs. Overall, I think I met my goals. Some of my favorite projects were the logo design and the movie poster design!

I am most proud of these two projects because they both have lots of thought behind them. For my logo design, I did lots of research on the history of tattoos and piercings, as well as the history of certain art styles. I used both my interest in art and history to create the final product. For my movie posters, I was unsure at first because of the object I was assigned. I didn't have a clear idea on what I wanted to create with a mouse, until I did some research on mice in history and folktales. With this knowledge, I was able to create two unique posters and stories.
