Ceramics

Ceramics could be compared to any other 3D art forms like sculpting. It is different from drawing and painting since those are both 2D forms of art.
I would like to try and make unique designs on clay and work with color
I am the most proud of my pueblo coil pot. I am proud of this because it required different skills that we had not learned before in ceramics. I also liked the action of carving the design as well as adding a personal aspect within the design. It was challenging for me to make sure the pot and the design was symmetrical, but in the end I am proud of the result.
I think that the projects that I learned the most during their creation were the pinch pot project as well as the narrative mug assignment. I feel like this because I learned a lot about how to work with clay during both of them. The pinch pots were challenging for me at first because I was still learning how clay behaves because that was one of the first projects we did. The narrative slab mug was challenging because that was the first time we used the slab technique as well as attaching things like the handle.
I think that I met them pretty well. My goal was to make unique designs with clay and work with color. I feel like I met that goal because I enjoyed using creative combinations of glazes and seeing how they looked together. I also challenged myself to create unique designs.
