What is Eid? Well, I'm here to tell you all about it! Eid is a 3-day celebration celebrated by Muslims. It marks the end of Ramadan & celebrates how they had a succeeding fast for a whole month. This year Eid was on May 2nd, 2022. No one is allowed to fast on that day.
First, Muslims wake up early & dress up in their finest clothes to attend the Eid prayers. After the prayers, they wish each other a Happy and blessed Eid (“Eid Mubarak” in Arabic) before spending the rest of the day with family as they exchange each other gifts & enjoy delicious food. At my house, we eat some sweets & eat dates. Women also put on some Henna. Henna is a type of brown liquid that you use to put on some designs on your hand or other parts of the body.
Well, these are the basics of Eid. I hope you learned something new and...

After doing some practice with Mr. LaCorte, we have a track meet. This year the meet was on Saturday, May 14. All track members in the school district, from all of the schools, meet up at JFK High School. Each school is either a small school or a large school, we are a large school due to the number of members of the track team. In total there is 16 elementary schools districts-8 small school and 8 large schools. We compete with each other to win prizes in an event. From 8th place to 4th place you get different colored ribbons, and the top 3 athletes/team will get medals! And the rest of the athletes in that event who participated got white ribbons. Harry Potter Day⚡!
The plot revolves around a boy named Harry Potter (I'm pretty sure you figured that out). He has two best friends Ron and Hermione who go along with him on adventures, together they are called "The Golden Trio". Harry Potter's arch nemesis is Draco Malfoy, so they always try to maintain a distance. Harry Potter lives with the Dursley's who hate him and all sorts of things relating to magic. The antagonist of the story is Lord Voldemort, or more commonly known as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named or You-Know-Who. Voldemort has an army of followers who he calls "Death Eaters". In their opposition Headmaster Albus Dumbledore creates an army of wizards called "The Order of Phoenix", they protect the Wizarding World from harm. The Ministry of Magic is kind of like the government for the Wizarding World as they make all the rules. Now we know why it took J.K. Rowling 17 years to make the whole series! When will you start reading or watching the movies?

First, we sang the Pledge Of Allegiance and we were sitting as the the officers explained what D.A.R.E was. D.A.R.E stands for two things. Define, Assess, Respond, and Evaluate was were you make the right choce. It also stands for Drug, Abuse, Resistance, and Education.
During the ceremony, the officers showed us the Canine Program. The Dare Officers showed the dog how it listens on command. We asked a few questions like:
What breed is best for training?
Does size matter?
Where did you get the name Canine from?
After that we all went outside and looked at the D.A.R.E. car. We all got to go in the car too.
