STRATEGIES:

1. Individual Rotation

  • The Individual Rotation model allows students to rotate through stations, but on individual schedules set by a teacher. This model does not require students to go to every rotation.

  • How to use it- Teachers can use this strategy by figuring out where her students need the most help. This will create stations for all students in the class to work together and not be grouped by high and low. Some of these stations include, central learning lab (working with technology), group projects, direct instruction, intervention, group discussions.

2. Personalized Learning Plan

  • Personalized learning plan allows for each student in the classroom to be on their own individual plan but this does not replace and IEP. Personalized learning is a blended instruction to combine face-to-face teaching, technology-assisted instruction and student-to-student collaboration to leverage each student’s interests for deeper learning.

  • How to use it- Teachers can use this to really see their students strengths and weaknesses in the classroom. Students can work face to face with the teacher then go back to their seat and use and iPAD to complete instruction on their. This personalized learning plan would still be used as centers.
