Help wanted:
-Helpers for the sausage sizzle and/or the sale of drinks and ice blocks.

Programme for the evening
5:00pm - Pre-school Race (bikes or scooters) on the court
5:30pm - Age 5 – 7 Events (girls and boys)
- Age 8 – 10+ Individual Events (girls & boys)
- Age 8 – 10+ Team Events
When you arrive at school, please take your bike to the starting line, behind the hall. Participants will be called in their age groups to assemble on the field. Please stay in the spectator areas until you are called up.
5-7 year olds:
You can have a parent at the starting line to give a ‘push start’. Balance bikes are OK too.
We ask that all others are at the spectator areas and not in the middle of the field during the races.
Please collect your child’s bike from outside the pool after their race has finished.
Food sales
There will be a sausage sizzle, ice blocks and soft drinks being sold by our PTA. You can pay with EFTPOS / Paywave.

Other things to note:
Certificates will be given out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed individuals (not for teams)
Parents are responsible for transporting bikes to and from the school and ensuring bikes are fit for racing
Cyclists must wear helmets
We ask that only participants are on the field. All other should keep to the spectator areas only

The “back to the 80’s” quiz night is just around the corner and tickets are now available on Kindo.
Date: Saturday 23 March 2024, 7.30 pm
Location: Titirangi RSA
Tickets: $30 each or $240 for a table of 8 (ticket price includes finger food)
Fundraising: Silent and live auction to be held on the night
The PTA are fundraising for a new junior developmental playground on the field and we need your help to raise as much as we can!
Auction items - If you would like to donate an item, experience or service for prizes or for auctioning on the night please contact Ann Jensen, a member of the PTA, on 021 656 262.
Sponsoring a table - If you have a business that would like to sponsor a table on the night and in turn have your business promoted please get in contact with Ann. To get the word out into the community on your business we can name a table after you and display advertising.
Ticket sales -
Tickets will be available on Kindo from tomorrow (Friday).
You can purchase individual tickets and buddy up with others for the night or book a table for 8 for your crew. There are limited seats and this is going to be an awesome event! Go get your tickets now!
Drop-offs & Pick-ups
Our school day is 9am - 3pm.
Students can be dropped off at school from 8:30 am. Teachers are preparing their lessons for the day and are ready to welcome their students from 8:30am.
Abigail in Year 4 is doing the Round the Bays fun run with her Mum in just over a week’s time and she’d love your support! She’s fundraising for the Starship Foundation who have been incredible in helping her as she recovers from a serious injury to her finger.
She’ll also be outside the rainbow room after school next week on Mon 26th and Tue 27th Feb for donations to this good cause.

Cross Country
The Woodlands Park Cross Country will be on Fri 8th March (note the date change - no longer Thu 7th March). The top 6 place-getters aged 8 and over will be in the Cross Country team. The team competes in the Kelston Cluster competition at Konini School on Tues 26th March.
Swimming
The inter school swimming competition will be at West Wave in Tue 19th March. The team is currently being finalised with try outs this week and next week.

IN SCHOOL LUNCHTIME DANCE CLASSES to WOODLANDS PARK SCHOOL for our students to enjoy in 2024!
These classes are designed to cater for the "Busy Parent" to allow their child to get their regular Dance Class done during School Hours! You do not have to find the time after school or during the weekends, for the parent with multiple children - the hard work is done for you, no extra travel and your child can dance with their friends from school, in the safe, caring School Environment.
These classes have run for 5 years in West Auckland Schools - The feedback has been nothing but positive, from very grateful parents, who have seen their children excited to go to school as its "Dance Day!” More often than not, coming home and demonstrating all their fabulous moves they have learnt at Lunchtime! A warning….. be prepared for the dance displays at home or around the neighbourhood!
These classes are designed for all ages and abilities, Boys and Girls and they are not exam orientated.

Marrzipan Drama

Spaces available in Marrzipan Drama and Self-Confidence classes at Woodlands Park School!
Is your child shy? Do they feel intimidated by the idea of public speaking and performance? Do they sometimes find it difficult to make eye contact? Do they just need dedicated time per week to just be CRAZY?!
It’s not too late to join Marrzipan Drama for Term 1! We are looking for some awesome students to fill some parts in our play, which we will be performing for parents and friends at the end of term. Come along to a non-obligatory trial lesson and see whether you like it!

Marrzipan Drama runs a class at Woodlands Park School every Wednesday morning before school in the Library from 8:00am - 8:45am. This is a mixed-age class, all ages and year levels are welcome!
