Dance Club was introduced to cater for the busy working parent who can not get their child to an afterschool or weekend Dance class or activity.
We took the pressure off you and brought Dance to your child at School during one Lunchtime per week. This has been successfully run now for over 6 years in local schools.
The classes are designed to cover a huge variety of steps and build upon combinations that then lead to learning dances of different varieties.
The work is not examination based and we do not do an annual show. This allows children of all levels and abilities to just enjoy Dance and fall in love with a new way of expressing themselves and ultimately helping their learning at School by creating a creative mind as well as an academic mind.
It is hoped that your child will take part for the whole year as there are modules that we teach and we then develop the work further after the basics have been well taught.
We start the second week of every term (2, 3 and 4) to allow students to get back into their routine each term and settle down again.
We try to do Assembly showings which the Schools love and to these Parents are invited and we also do Dance Showing Days where you can come and view the class in its normal setting.
We try to make sure music and choreography are emailed out to parents so that a little homework can be done and that your child can show you at home or put on little Dance shows for you!
They do not require any special uniform, they just wear their normal school attire and barefeet. Sometimes in Winter a little pair of old socks are great to help with keeping feet warm and helping with spinning moves that we cover.
This helps you out as a parent also as you do not need to spend lots of money on a uniform that they keep growing out of. We would love to share the beauty of Dance with your child so if this sounds like something they would love get in touch today to secure your space for 2025.
Classes fill fast as the Tutors are just inspirational and very up to date with creating inspiring choreography and combinations.
I look forward to hearing from you and starting your child’s journey in Dance Club at Woodlands Park School!
Thursday Lunchtimes 12.30 - 1.30 and $155 per term.
