Next week we will be relaunching our Golden Lunchbox Competition to encourage all of the children at Woodlands Park School to try and reduce/eliminate waste from their lunchboxes. Each week there will be a litterless lunchbox check and the class in each whanau with the most litterless lunchboxes will win the Golden Lunchbox Award for the week.
When we have run this competition in the past, it has proved popular with the children and it has really helped children, parents and teachers to
think about how we can reduce / avoid waste when we pack our lunches each day. Minimising/eliminating waste is a valuable way of contributing
to the health of our world and is another way our children can contribute to the work we do as an Enviroschool (our commitment to the Enviroschools Programme began way back in 2002).
If you are needing tips on how to pack a litterless lunch please check out the links below for some ideas and please remember that every little
change that you are able to make does make a difference.

I am very pleased to announce the Woodlands Park Free Food Pantry has a home outside number 20 Minnehaha Avenue (next door to the Kindy). The pantry will be in place by September.
Follow us on Facebook, search for Woodlands Park Free Food Pantry, on Instagram #woodlandsparkfreefoodpantry. Please message me directly with your positivity, suggestions and questions. I am looking for contacts in the community who can secure weekly donations to rescue bakery, fresh produce and shelf stable food that is potentially written off.
All ideas welcome. Spread the word!

Spaces Available for Marrzipan Drama at Woodlands Park starting Wednesday next week!
Marrzipan have gained a huge reputation in New Zealand for the development of shy children, especially those with anxiety, autism and selective mutism. Saying that, this is a class for the super crazy and dramatic types too, as we focus on positive leadership and social skills. Our classes focus on inner and outer self-confidence, and are super fun and exciting for children. Parents are kept up to date with weekly emails about what’s been covered in class and why, as well as what you can work on at home. We have two awesome showcases at the end of every term too, so you can see your child’s development first hand as they perform in one of our termly productions.
Classes are running Wednesday 8.00-8.45am in the Library. Spaces are limited to 10 per class, so please get in touch to secure your child a space. Register your interest by emailing jack@marrzipandrama.co.nz or calling 027 367 3334! See you there!
