Here are some handy resources to help support your understanding of learning and teaching at the Wingate school; and to help your child study at home.
Maths
The Wingate school follows the White Rose primary maths curriculum. Check out the 'Parents & Pupils' section of their website for more information about this scheme of work.
The Advice & Guidance section explains how the curriculum is designed and offers some advice on how you can support your child.
In the Home Learning section, you'll find a range of videos which demonstrate the types of problems children will be asked to tackle during a given topic and methods they will use to solve them (note that Grade 4 are working at the level of UK Year 5).
The White Rose website also makes available a range of Free Downloads. These age-graded parent-student workbooks match the different topics covered at the Wingate school providing a set of questions presented in the recognizable White Rose style.
Corbett maths primary is website created by a UK educator and includes a range of worksheets for different primary maths topics aimed at the UK key stage 2 (grades 2-5).
The website includes a range of worksheets (with answers) and also has a selection of videos which demonstrate standard methods for solving maths problems.
