Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
In English, we debated whether Karl, the character in "Clockwork," should live or die. Maths saw us solving mixed word problems and starting one-step money problems. Geography lessons focused on physical and human geography features. In History, we began our new topic on World War II, learning about the Blitz and its impact on the UK.
Our RE lessons explored the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments. Music classes introduced us to "The Amazing Person's Guide to the Orchestra." PE was full of fun with dodgeball and basketball. In Art, we finished our beautiful jellyfish and started new sea life projects. Spanish lessons included vegetable games on Linguascope, Language Angels, and Linguafun, making learning enjoyable. Computing involved working with commands in 2Logo, and in Drama, we created freeze frames based on our "Clockwork" story in pairs. A fantastic week of learning and fun!

Thank you to Henry who brought in a German Belt buckle that was found in his Grandma's Italian home after the World War 2 had ended. What a great artefact from the war that we feel lucky to have seen in real life.
