Nursery
The children have begun preparing their individual pieces of artwork in preparation for the art exhibition after half term. Each child has put in a lot of thought and effort and we hope you enjoy viewing these amazing masterpieces at the exhibition.
We have had a lot of fun with our opposites topic and the final week has been topped off with a fantastic outdoor learning experience whereupon the children spontaneously carried the opposite theme onto the common. Lots of excitement was had as the children realised nature is full of opportunities such as long and short sticks, big and small leaves, rough stones and smooth pebbles, bumpy fir cones and soft feathers to name a few not forgetting the shrills of laughter as we jumped on and off legs. The opposite comparisons were never ending, demonstrating the children’s enthusiasm for this topic and nature.
Our fantastic opposite texture books were completed with ten amazing different textures for the children to explore and compare within their own handmade booklets.
The writing books are a great success as the children recall events or holidays etc which they write about with their beautiful illustrations to accompany their work. These books will be on display to browse during the art exhibition.
Have a great half term
