As we approach the end of another week, it has been a delight to see the hard work and creativity of the children paying off as they are finishing off the projects for this term.
In Reception, our youngest artists have been exploring the wonders of colouring and pattern by crafting their own delightful fossil designs. Year 1 pupils have been busy varnishing their clay leaves. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in the stunning results. Our Year 2 students have drawn inspiration from the famous architect Antoni Gaudí. They have been enthusiastically sketching lizards, channelling Gaudí’s characteristic style and flair, resulting in some unique and vibrant pieces.
Up in the Prep, Year 3 have been completing their doodling project. The children used their creativity to produce mesmerising optical illusions, showcasing a diverse range of ideas and techniques. Year 4 students have wrapped up their beautiful watercolour train project. These pieces have received much admiration as they are now all proudly displayed. Additionally, Year 4 have learnt the skill of drawing 3D trains using one-point perspective. Year 5 pupils have been carefully varnishing their clay doughnuts, transforming their creations. Finally, Year 6 have been engrossed in their African art project. They have combined their new skills by creating larger artworks with poster paints and intricate Posca pen patterns. I am excited to see these once complete.
Please check the details above regarding our Christmas Poster Competition, which promises to be an exciting opportunity for your children to showcase their creativity once more.
