What a week we have had! From our first football and netball fixtures to our inaugural trip to the Lookout Discovery Centre, the children have been the most amazing ambassadors for our school, and we could not be more proud of them.
In English, we have been working on the poem "Cats Sleep Anywhere," which was a wonderful way to celebrate National Poetry Day on Thursday. The children have enjoyed exploring the rhythm and imagery of the poem.
In Maths, we have been learning how to find the difference between two numbers and have become number detectives to find the missing numbers! It's been fantastic to see the children’s problem-solving skills in action.
Geography lessons have had us thinking about where we live, helping the children to understand their local environment better. In History, we have continued to explore toys from the past, sparking fascinating discussions about how play has changed over the years.
Next week, we are excited to be wearing yellow to bring a focus on the importance of mental health. It’s a wonderful opportunity to teach the children about the significance of well-being and self-care.
Wishing you all a restful weekend,
Miss Burns, Miss Henson, Miss Lawrence, Miss Taseva and Mrs. Whittaker
