Nursery
Once upon a time, a tiny seed dreamed of growing into a big tree, and with love, care and hard work our Nursery family tree grew big and tall. The nursery children used different media and materials to produce a very special family tree to display their personal family photos on. It is looking Great. Well done Nursery! We also started planting some beautiful autumnal plants in our little nursery garden. The children showed a lot of interest in this lovely project and they showed some very good gardening skills, and knowledge!
This week the children showed some fantastic listening and very good concentration while playing the sound lotto game. This was a great success and encouraged the children’s turn taking and sharing skills as well as providing lots of laughter at familiar and new sounds discovered. Autumn continues to flourish within the nursery. This week while painting we experimented with conkers - the children discovered we could roll conkers in paint and then roll these on paper to make fantastic conker splashes !!!!! The children continued the conker theme while at the play dough table and made as many conkers as they could from rolling the play dough into small balls.
Great fun was to be had while learning and tracing the numerals 0-5 using cornflour mixture, which the children found extremely funny and enjoyed the texture melting through their fingers.
Have a great weekend, stay dry!
