Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
Nursery
Our adventurous journey continues throughout the Mesozoic Era, which comprises the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
This week the children embarked on a Time Machine to travel back in time 266 million years ago to meet the very popular herbivore dinosaurs, the ‘Diplodocus
from the Jurassic era and originating from North America.
The children enjoyed a number of various dinosaur art and craft activities that involved painting, stamping, stencilling, drawing and colouring.
The children also practiced their mathematical skills through some very interesting weighing and measuring techniques using the scales and some colour coded measuring number blocks.
The children participated in making salt dough to create fossils. They very much enjoyed using their chosen dinosaur to make markings in the salt dough adding extra details. Once completed the children were very happy with their fossil.
Our letter of the week is P and we have been examining all things beginning with P.
