House Cross Country competition will be taking place at Drax on Friday, 31st January. Below are the race start and finish times:

Pre Prep - Race Timings

10:30 - 10:45 Reception (0.6km)

10:55 - 11:10 Year 1 (0.75km)

11:25 - 11:45 Year 2 (1km)

Prep - Race Timings

13:30 - 14:00 Years 3 & 4 (1.6km)

14:20 - 15:00 Years 5 & 6 (2.3km)

While the Prep races are combined, they will be judged separately, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners awarded within each year group.

What to Wear

Pupils should arrive at school wearing their PE kit and house t-shirt. For those in the Prep school, please ensure they bring their Willington tracksuit to change into after the race. Pupils may wear trainers or football boots during the race, and we recommend bringing an extra pair of trainers and socks as the course is likely to be muddy.

Marshalls 

We are seeking volunteers to help marshal the course. If you can assist on the day, please let me know, and I will provide further details and timings in the coming week.

Post-Race Arrangements 

• Pre prep - please note that parents are not permitted to take children home after their races. All children will return to school by coach at approximately 12:40. 

• Prep - dismissal for prep pupils will be at 15:30 and will be conducted by their form teachers. Please complete this brief form (click here) if you are picking your child up from Drax. Pupils with current permission to walk home from Drax will be allowed to do so as usual. All other pupils, or those attending clubs, will be escorted back to school
