KRISTEN CALLAWAY BMus MTeach
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC
A lifelong musician and Australian by birth, Kristen studied at the University of Sydney where she was invited to join the Golden Key Honour Society as one of the top performers in her undergraduate degree. A first-study flautist and composition major, she has played in orchestras, concert bands, chamber ensembles and sung in choirs from an early age.
She has trained as a Gymboree instructor and Licensed Kindermusik Educator as well as being part of the inaugural group of teachers delivering the Juilliard-NordAnglia Performing Arts Programme, receiving training in New York at the Juilliard School and working collaboratively with artists in the programme.
Studying and working in Australia, the UK and South East Asia has given her rich and varied experience from which to create an innovative and exciting musical programme for Willington students.
Her passion is musical theatre and she has played a number of leading and ensemble roles in productions in Australia and the UK, with highlights being performances at the Minack Theatre in Cornwall and Epsom Playhouse.
