I am excited to be part of the K-4 team, serving as Academic Interventionist and RTI Facilitator. Though my roots are in Wisconsin, my family and I were transplanted in 2000 and now call Arkansas “home.” I especially enjoy winters here in the South! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from UW-Milwaukee, and my Master’s from Aurora University in Illinois. My teaching career and student teaching assignments have allowed me to work with students at every level, K-12.

School experiences as a young third-grader ignited in me a life-long love for teaching and learning. In the same way, it is my privilege to help lay and build upon the foundation of skills necessary to equip my students to find their own passions. Upon moving to Arkansas, I took some time away from the classroom to stay home with our young family. Today I am the proud Mama of two incredible young adults, both college students pursuing their passions – Gabrielle is studying in Northwest Missouri, and Matthew is just beginning his studies in Northwest Arkansas. Pete, my husband (and favorite person!) of over a quarter-century, and I are adjusting to life with an empty nest.

When not in the classroom, you might find me spending time with my family, reading for fun, cooking new recipes, indulging in fine European dark chocolate (in moderation, of course!), or cheering for our favorite sports teams. Thank you for trusting me with your children. I consider it an honor to serve both them and their families.
