When you arrive on our campus, we hope you are able to feel the family atmosphere that we have at West Side Elementary. We want you to feel a safe and nurturing learning environment for your child. We have approximately 258 students in Kindergarten through sixth grade. We also have two classrooms of Fueling Brains preschool students on our campus. We are a “HeartBridge” school and students begin each day by receiving a “meet and greet” by adults as they enter the school. We make sure every child begins the day ready to learn by providing free breakfast and also provide lunch and snacks to all students. As students enter their classrooms, they receive a “meet and greet” from their teacher and are welcomed to school by sharing “good things.” Our teachers let students know that they are the reason we are here. 

We provide every child a variety of educational opportunities so that they are prepared for their transition to high school. Classrooms are equipped with Smart Boards, document cameras and Chromebooks. Each classroom has a library, math manipulatives, science and social studies resources to enhance instruction. We employ best instructional practices through our research-based curriculum for math, literacy, science, social studies, library science, physical education and the fine arts. Every staff member at West Side Elementary has a deep love and commitment to the emotional well-being, physical safety, and educational success of every child. We put our students first!
