Hello West Side Elementary! My name is Amy Gentry and I am the Computer Lab and PE Teacher here at WSE. I was born in Conway, Arkansas and lived in Quitman until I was 12 years old. I started in 7th grade here at West Side and have been here ever since, so this is home to me!

I graduated from West Side High School in 1996. I went to North Arkansas College in Harrison and played basketball for 2 years. From there, I continued playing basketball at Lyon College and graduated with a Psychology degree in 2000. I got married to my best friend, Jason Gentry in June of 2000. I worked at The Department of Human Services for 2 years and then started teaching and coaching basketball here at West Side for 8 years. I then joined the WSE staff and became the PE and Computer Lab teacher. This is starting my 17th year.

I have 2 kids, Haley and Travis Gentry. Haley will be a Senior this year and Travis a Junior here at West Side. They both are very active in sports.

I enjoy watching my kids play sports, hunting, exercising, and being with my family. I absolutely love each and everyone of the kiddos here at West Side, and have an absolute blast teaching PE!
