Women in STEM

Welcome to Women in STEM: A club designated to fostering interest and participation in STEM among females in our Weston Community! We partner with WiSTEM, a female, global-led organization aiming to increase women's representation in STEM fields. Currently, only 34% of the STEM workforce is female, we hope to increase this number by partnering with this organization.

• Our goals: 

  • Mentorship: Reach out to women in our community who work in STEM fields, learn about their profession, and if permitted, collaborate on research/projects.

  • Outreach: Inspire more girls at Hurlbutt, WIS, and WMS, by hosting STEM fairs, engineering challenges, and engaging in hands-on experiments.

  • Fundraise: raise money for underserved communities to pay for STEM kits and supplies.
