Math

  • We have wrapped up our measurement unit. Their pre/post test will be sent home next Friday.
  • If you child took the elapsed time retake, that went home in their Friday Folder as well.
  • Our upcoming unit, and last unit for math this year, will be geometry.

ELA

  • We have been writing a lot about our opinions. Some topics we've written about are: should 3rd grade students have cell phones, should students be able to use chromebooks during rainy day recess?, and what's the best dessert ever?
  • This week, Alena's mom came in to talk with students about poetry. We then brainstormed for a quick poetry slam. So many students took risks and shared their writing with the class. I was truly impressed!

Spanish

Hola Explorer Families,

This Saturday is our International Festival. All K-3 students are invited to come sing their Spanish songs in the gym at 4pm. Please arrive 3:50-ish so that we can be on stage by 4. We hope to see you there!

Gracias,

Maestra Galván (lgalvan@westlakecharter.com)
