HARVEST PARTY

We had a great first party at school.  Below are some pictures of the kiddos in their costumes.  Thank you the to party volunteers!  Our next party will be in December before the school break.  We will need a few volunteers on this day as well. Our next class party will be on December 21st. Please be on the lookout for a sign up email in December.

Math

During Math Centers students play games and use manipulatives to develop the following skills:

Literacy

The last few weeks have included lessons on syllables, rhyming, beginning sounds and recognizing the difference between words, letters and sentences.  They also practiced reading to self.  Below are some pictures of the literacy activities. I am also including a fun lesson song that we have used to talk about the parts of a sentence and a song we use to listen for rhyming words.

HARVEST HUSTLE

Wednesday, December 1st was our Harvest Hustle.  It was a perfect day to be outside and get some exercise!  Thank you to all who participated and donated to this fundraiser.  It was a huge success and we all had a great time on the race course.  THANK YOU PTO!  I am excited to announce that to date, we have raised $10,500, surpassing our goal. With that being said, we are still looking to fund sun shades for our playground which will require additional fundraising. You can still donate to the Harvest Hustle. For more information on how to donate please see here

Recess

We go outside for recess twice a day whenever the weather allows.  Once the weather gets cold please send warm gear for your child each day.  The mornings will tend to be colder and hat and mittens are suggested as we are often outside when it is 40 or cooler degrees.  Please also help your child work on zipping skills and independence when putting on their jackets.  Thank you!

As an added bonus Robinson PTO is giving each child $5.00 to use towards purchases at the book fair.

It is a fun experience to Browse the catalog and come up with ideas for books your child(ren) may enjoy. Online shopping is available as well.

If you would like to see our class wish list. I have attached it here.
