SURFING

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY:By expressing your interest in Surfing you are not committing to the events. All it will mean is that you would like to go onto an email list so reminders are sent to you closer to each surfing opportunity event. WEGC also runs a surf programme through Outdoor Education in Years 12 and 13 but we also enter our WEGC surf team into local events.

Make own way to/from events with parents

Surf Beaches around Wellington and NZ

COACHING:This sport is self coached. The college is able to also provide coaching from our Outdoor Education teachers. SURFING OPPORTUNITIES:WEGC offers a very successful Surf programme for students in year 12 and 13 who opt to take Outdoor Education as a subject.We are also keen to hear from any students who surf and would like to be considered for WEGC Surfing Championships which will take place early in Term 2. There are also many opportunities to represent WEGC at local events. Please complete the Expressions of Interest below to let us know you are keen to hear about these events.
