FENCING

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY:  Fencing has been called ‘physical chess’ as it combines the conditioning of gymnastics, the grace of ballet and the mental agility of chess. So if you are light on your feet and keen to out-think your opponent, this is the sport for you!

Our programme caters for students that are new to the sport and would like to ‘give it a go’ for a term, as well those returning for their second or third year that want to participate in club, regional and national events.

Beginners: You will have the opportunity to learn the basics and fence in the Central Secondary School Novice events in May and/or November.

Returning Fencers: You will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and compete in the Central Secondary School Individual & Team Champs.

Students must register each term.
