Champs Sport Cup - Senior Team of the Year 

Premier Basketball Team

Another outstanding year for the Premier Basketball team.  

This team had a goal to be stronger, fitter and faster than previous seasons so started pre season in January 2025.  This certainly paid off as the team defended the College Sport Wellington Premier Basketball title and then backed it up at Winter Tournament Week winning the Central Regional tournament that qualified them for nationals.

At the NZ Secondary schools tournament,  the top 20 teams from around the country attend the 6-day event and WEGC came 8th.
