By signing up for this sport you are not committing to the events. All it will mean is that you would like to go onto a mailing list so reminders are sent to you closer to the event. There is an opportunity to represent WEGC at the North Island Secondary Schools Championships. Please be aware that WEGC will not be taking a team, the college is happy to enter you but you will need to be the responsibility of your family.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY:
The school will enter one team of 5 experienced skiers in the North Island Secondary Schools Ski Championships held at Mt Ruapehu. Date: 21-23 September 2026 @ Pure Turoa Ski Field.
COMPETITION DAY:
3/4 day event, racing through gates
Day 1. Individually timed
Day 2. Paired racing on a dual slalom course

ADULTS:This sporting opportunity is reliant on students going with their parents/caregiviers. The college will enter the student and please note it is a requirement of entry that volunteer parents assist with course marshalling.
