Also known as Stenabolic, has been studied in mice and has shown to increase running speed, decrease levels of obesity, and stimulate mitochondrial production, thus enhancing muscle mass and metabolism.
While SR-9009 is often associated with SARMS, it acts on different pathways than other SARMs and is actually a nuclear receptor reverse viral erythroblastosis oncogene product alpha, agonist or a Rev-ErbA agonist, a protein found in the liver, skeletal muscles, and brain, and it is best known for affecting circadian rhythm.
In a study conducted by Solt et. Al, mice were supplemented twice a day with either SR-9009 or a vehicle injection while being given a high-fat diet (60% fat and 20% carbs) to see whether or not SR-9009 was able to drive weight loss in diet-induced cases of obesity (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3343186/).
It was found that due to the stress of injection twice a day, both mice receiving SR-9009 and the inert placebo lost body fat, however, the mice receiving injections of SR-9009 lost 60% more fat than the mice receiving injections of a vehicle. In addition to significant fat loss, it was also reported that mice injected with SR-9009 experienced a 12% decrease in plasma triglycerides, 47% decrease in total cholesterol, a 19% decrease in plasma glucose levels, an 80% decrease in leptin, and a 72% decrease in inflammatory cytokines (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3343186/).
In an interesting study conducted by Song et. Al, 12-week old female mice were housed in a research laboratory and were kept on a strict 12 hour light and dark schedule, and were free-fed food and water. From there, 40 mice were split into groups and were either given a complete ovariectomy or a sham surgery. In mice that got a sham surgery, they were anesthetized and their ovaries were briefly touched with forceps but not removed. Following the procedure, the mice were injected with either a dose of 30, 50, or 100 mg/kg of SR-9009 (https://faseb.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1096/fj.201600825RRR).
Overall, the results of this study showed that supplementation with SR-9009 inhibited differentiation of osteoclast formation in mice, indicating that there was less breakdown of the bones after supplementation. Furthermore, in the female mice that underwent ovariectomy in order to mimic post-menopausal bone breakdown, it was found that supplementation with SR-9009 led to a greater number of bone trabeculae in the femur and tibias. Additionally, bone volume and tissue were found to have increased by either 1.550, 1.701, or 1.601-fold when given doses of 30, 50, or 100 mg/kg of SR-9009, respectively (https://faseb.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1096/fj.201600825RRR).
Many of our compounds are available in powdered, poly-cell, optimized and standard polyethylene glycol formulations. We employ an amphiphilic copolymer to form polymeric micelles that enhance testing efficiency
of select SARMs.
Furthermore, our nano-emulsification process ensures minimum polymeric micelle size and variance. Most importantly, our Poly-Cell FormulaTM is optimized for absorption with a minimal negative profile.
The primary concern for SARM researchers today is where to buy SARMS that are reliable and consistently pure. Umbrella Labs insures and guarantees its product purity by incorporating a process of Independent testing using Mass Spectrometry and Ultraviolet Radiation. Certificates of our product Independent tests are posted with our product descriptions.
