Social/Emotional Learning

Social/Emotional Learning is an integral part of the KES learning community and is available to all students, PK-6, for social, emotional, behavioral and academic support.
I have been a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) since 2018 working in school, clinic, and home settings where I gained valuable knowledge on behaviors and learned how to effectively respond to those behaviors to create positive changes for both the individuals, and their families. I started working here at KES as the school counselor (under a provisional license) in 2024 and instantly felt a strong sense of community and support by the entire KES community. I decided to commit to my new role and responsibilities and officially became a licensed school counselor in the summer of 2026. I could not be happier to continue my journey at KES, where I look forward to continuing to support the entire KES community, build strong relationships, and work hard to boost the school climate. I believe that my behavioral background and knowledge of behaviors compliments my role as the KES school counselor and as a member of the PBIS team and am so excited for the new 2026-2027 school year! I am here to support all students' social, emotional, and behavioral journey toward becoming the best versions of themselves so they can create meaningful change in this world. The KES Counseling program will incorporate whole school, whole class, small group, and individual teaching strategies to support the needs of all students, their families and staff.
