9.28.17 Wayne Hills AP Physics Students

The Wayne Hills AP Physics 1 Science League Team participated in 4 competitions after school between last January and May. They were awarded a team plaque on June 14th for ranking #8 out of the 94 teams in New Jersey. Team standout, Elijah Paul, was awarded an individual plaque for ranking an amazing #7 out of 238 students statewide. Congratulations to the entire team for a great year!

Rockin' Kindness at Schuyler-Colfax!

Schuyler-Colfax Middle School, as part of their ongoing character education program, is continuously looking for ways to inspire and motivate its students. With this in mind, they recently introduced, "The Kindness Rock Project." This project consists of decorating river rocks with inspirational and positive messages. These rocks will be placed throughout the school for students to see each day.

In the picture below, you will see rocks created by the Schuyler faculty. The students, to kick off the week of respect, will be decorating their own rocks. When the project is all said and done, there will be over 800 kindness rocks throughout the SCMS building!

Wayne Council of PTOs Browse and Shop Raises over $30,000 for High School Scholarships

The Wayne Council of PTOs Browse N Shop, located at the the old Preakness School at 1006 Hamburg Turnpike is open for business from September through June. All proceeds go directly to college scholarships for Wayne Valley and Wayne Hills High School students. Last year the shop raised over $30,000 for student scholarships.

The Browse N Shop relies 100% on donations from the community. Here is a list of what they sell and accept:

Clothing (Best Seller), Jewelry, Cookware, Household Items, Electronics, Toys & Games, Books, Artwork & Decorative Items, Shoes, Purses, and Wallets.

The Browse and Shop is a registered non-profit and will provide a donation receipt during store hours. Donations can be left in front of the store doors during non-business hours.
