District Start Strong Assessment
District Start Strong Assessment
During the 2020-21 school year, the New Jersey Department of Education applied for a federal testing waiver which was approved and allowed school districts to postpone statewide testing assessment this past school year. The waiver required school districts to ensure students took a benchmark assessment at the onset of the 21-22 school year in order to collect data on potential learning loss, provide teachers with early intervention data, and also provide parents with timely information about their children's needs.

Wayne Valley Students Recognized by College Board
Wayne Valley Students Recognized by College Board
Wayne Valley High School is excited to announce that six of our outstanding seniors have been recognized by the College Board as National Recognition Program Scholars. The College Board is a nonprofit organization that represents more than 6,000 colleges, universities, and educational organizations worldwide. The organization administers the PSAT, SAT, and Advanced Placement exams, and utilizes its National Recognition Programs to highlight academic excellence. The College Board shares that “colleges use the listing of this honor as a way of identifying students from underrepresented groups who have excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or AP Exams and in their classwork.”

Wayne Day was held this year on Sunday, September 26th. Wayne Day is an annual event of fun and entertainment that was created for the purpose of bringing the Township residents together to learn more about our community and the many things that our Township has to offer.

Free Breakfast and Free Lunch for Every Wayne Township Public School Student
The Wayne Schools’ Nutrition/Foodservice Team is excited to have everyone back in school beginning on September 9, 2021. Wayne Public Schools has been approved to offer every student one free breakfast and one free lunch each day they are in school from the first day of school until June 22, 2022. The meals offered will be safely packaged for fast distribution. Each breakfast and lunch served will have the required components of a complete meal as per the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program.
