APT Elementary School participated in an Hour of Play on Friday, March 25th with the Unified Club. The Hour of Play gave all students time to play outside together. The Hour of Play was designed, planned, and led by the Unified Club at APT.
The Unified Club members led students in various activities and games, including Tag, Capture the Flag, Soccer, and Hide and Seek.
Thank You Paraprofessionals
Ryerson Elementary School's Paraprofessionals
Wednesday, April 3rd was Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, a national day when we celebrate our paraprofessionals and highlight the contributions of paraprofessionals to their students and schools.
The role of a paraprofessional is formally defined as providing instructional, behavioral, and other support to students in and outside of the classroom. However, anyone who has worked with a paraprofessional knows that they often fulfill a much larger role. Our paras frequently go above and beyond in their daily tasks to meet the needs and best interests of their students. The hard work that our paraprofessionals put in allows for our buildings to run smoothly and offers our students the opportunity to meet their greatest potential.
To our paraprofessionals:
Thank you for all that you do in your classrooms.
For making split-second decisions for the benefit of our students.
For planning long before the day starts.
For changing those plans when they didn’t fit as planned.
For thinking of new ways to reach someone.
Your work matters and you make a difference!
You are loved and appreciated greatly!
