We are thrilled to announce that 14 Wayne Township Public Schools have been officially designated as 2020 - 2021 No Place For Hate® Schools by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
The Wayne Township Public Schools received the designation from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for its commitment to creating a safe, supportive, tolerant, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Wayne Hills High School's Photo Program Creates Art Gallery at Sunrise Assisted Living Center
This spring, the WHHS Photo program partnered with Sunrise Assisted Living to create an art gallery for its residents. Photo 3 students selected their favorite nature photographs which were then displayed in the common areas of the nursing home. The feedback received from Sunrise Assisted Living was wonderful as the residents enjoyed seeing the work the students created, while the students were thrilled to have their work provide such a pleasant experience for the community.

After participating in a five school Unified Track Meet at Lakeland Regional High School last week, the newly established Wayne Valley Unified Track Team hosted Wayne Hills for their first home event on Thursday, May 20th.

The team consisting of Joelle Barnes, Rachel Biller, Marco Greco, Grace Kelly and student-athlete coaches, Sydney Betz, Emily Bolson, and Beth Cummings, participated in shot put, 50m walk, 100m and long jump events. The team will head to Wayne Hills on Thursday, May 27th.

Mia is new this year to Wayne Schools and already goes above and beyond to make others feel happy and comfortable. Mia was awarded a free pizza and soda from a local pizzeria.

Sarah was caught being kind and is supported by Mrs. Molina and Officer Dave from the Wayne PD. Sophia works tirelessly tutoring 6th grade students through the "Level Up" tutoring program. Sophia was also awarded a free pizza and soda from a local pizzeria. GWMS is so proud of their student leaders!

Pines Lake School was awarded a grant from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to support our commitment as a "No Place for Hate'' School. Over twenty 4th & 5th grade students participated in their World of Difference Institute and received a 3-hour virtual training designed to help students recognize bias and the harm it inflicts, to build understanding of the value and benefits of diversity, to improve group relations, and confront racism and all forms of bigotry.

Memorial Day Weekend Update
The Board of Education adopted a calendar for the 2020-2021 school year, which incorporates four emergency days in the schedule. To date, we have used two of those days. As a result, we will have an expanded Memorial Day break.
Please be advised that if we have no additional emergency school closings prior to May 28th, school will be closed on Friday, May 28th and Tuesday, June 1st , as well as the scheduled Memorial Day, which is on Monday, May 31st.
School will resume on Wednesday, June 2nd.
