In the Apple Education Learning Center, you will find professional learning about lesson integration, foundational skills, Everyone Can Create projects, and much more. You can also start your Apple Teacher Journey by completing short quizzes and earning badges.
Everyone Can Create teaches students new skills to develop and communicate ideas through video, photography, music, and drawing on iPad. From quick introductory activities to skill building project guides, teachers have a range of fun and meaningful ways to ignite creativity with any lesson, at any grade level.
After 40 years working alongside educators, we’ve seen — and research has shown — that creative expression leads to deeper student engagement. And when students are more engaged, they take more ownership of their learning. Students become better problem solvers, communicators, and collaborators. They explore more and experiment more. They tell richer stories and find their own unique voices. They stretch their imaginations and make connections they might not otherwise make — and carry all these skills through everything they’ll do in school. And beyond. - Apple Education
WCSD staff can access the Everyone Can Create books in the Self-Service Center.

Everyone Can Create Books are available in the WCSD Software Center or on non-district devices in Apple Books. They have a plethora of ideas and ways to implement using Apple apps into your classroom in creative ways. While these are designed with iPads in mind, you can use the ideas on MacBooks, too.
Recently, Apple released four new project ideas! The new project ideas include; Design with Shapes, Animate with Stop-Motion, Create Editing Effects, and Write Your First Song. You can find all of those in the Apple Learning Center.

Let's Celebrate #CSEdWeek on December 4th through the 10th!
"It’s easier than ever to teach and learn app design and development using Swift Playgrounds on iPad or Mac. New Everyone Can Code Projects provide step-by-step educator resources to guide students in developing essential skills while creating apps that solve problems they care about.
#EveryoneCanCode Projects can be integrated into any subject area, and are perfect for coding club activities too. They introduce students to SwiftUI — the modern way to build user interfaces with surprisingly little code.
Projects use the latest app building technologies in Swift Playgrounds to support students in learning and experimenting with code like never before. With the App Preview they can see how their app changes in real time as they code, making it a great learning experience. Students are learning Swift, the same powerful language used by professionals to create some of today’s most popular apps."

Apple is proud to support and uplift the next generation of developers, creators, and entrepreneurs with the Swift Student Challenge. The Challenge has given thousands of student developers the opportunity to showcase their creativity and coding capabilities through app playgrounds, and earn real-world skills that they can take into their careers and beyond. We’re releasing new coding resources, working with community partners, and announcing the Challenge earlier than in previous years so students can dive deep into Swift and the development process — and educators can get a head start in supporting them.
Applications will open in February 2024 for three weeks.
New for the 2024 Challenge, out of 350 winners, we’ll recognize 50 Distinguished Winners for their outstanding submissions and invite them to Apple in Cupertino for an extraordinary experience. All Challenge winners will receive one year of membership in the Apple Developer Program, a complimentary voucher to take an App Development with Swift certification exam, and a special gift from Apple.
