Within our district, we have different digital apps that are being utilized and those have different rostering options. Some of the 6-12 WCSD-Supported Apps are utilizing Clever to roster students in classes.
So what is Clever, and how is it used in our district? Below is some more information about its functionality and how it can be utilized in your classes.
Clever Overview
Clever is a single sign-on solution that allows users to log into applications with one set of credentials. Students and teachers can open their devices, sign in to the Clever Portal using one username and password, and click on their connected applications to automatically access online learning programs. Students will use their Google Account to log in to Clever in Waukee Schools.
Classroom Portal (Teachers)
The Clever Portal offers a centralized hub for all your digital learning needs, providing easy access to a variety of powerful tools and resources. Customize your Classroom Portal with specific apps or links needed for students to utilize.
Single Sign-On (Students)
One login means students can seamlessly switch between different learning tools and resources without having to remember multiple usernames and passwords.
Clever Academy: Welcome to Clever (Teachers)
"Clever single sign-on (SSO) enables users to securely authenticate into connected applications via Clever Portal. Users log into Clever just once with one set of credentials, or using a Clever Badge, and then click on the various app icons to be logged in automatically via SSO."
End-of-the-Year
Some of the apps we use in our secondary classrooms are rostered and managed through Clever. Those apps (Seesaw, Amplify, & others the teacher has enabled) will automatically conclude at the end of the year. There would not be any additional steps for these apps to conclude.
