Feature Workflow
The Stimulus question type includes an Orientation menu. By default, associated questions are shown to the right of the stimulus. Questions can alternatively be placed below the stimulus.
New Quizzes wasn't able to have partial credit for matching questions previously. With last month's update, you can now have partial credit on matching questions!
The Canvas Community Hub for New Quizzes has product updates, discussions, questions, its roadmap, and feedback. These are some of the new and improved features shared on their Quarter 3 roadmap.
New:
The Build on Last Attempt setting makes it possible for students to take additional attempts on a quiz, only re-attempting those questions they answered incorrectly.
By eliminating the opportunity for a student to get an already correctly answered question incorrect on the reattempt, this feature will help to improve student outcomes and performance.
Improved:
Updated migration functionality enables users to quickly and conveniently export New Quizzes outside of their Canvas account. With New Quizzes migration during course copy/import (formerly Bulk Migration) now available in production environments and the feature option turned on, question banks that have questions included in a Classic Quiz will be migrated into a New Quiz
Instructors can now access Item Analysis within hours or less, with meaningful data to ensure quiz effectiveness. As mentioned earlier, our team has been working on faster access to the Quiz and Item Analysis. We are pleased to announce that this new functionality is now available in the beta environment, followed by the production release a month later, on September 16th.
