If you haven't caught onto the Worlde craze yet, you can try out a version for the classroom! By using Flippity, you can create a great quick vocabulary game or bell ringer using their WordMaster activity! It also doesn't have to be 5 letters like the traditional Wordle so you have more flexibility to incorporate what you need. You also can have multiple games as you put in different words so students can identify more than one word!
Flippity has TONS of other fun games that you can incorporate into your classroom!
Quizizz is a great tool for formative assessments and other check-ins with students. You can do multiple choice, fill in the blank, re-order, or matching questions. There are other higher-level ways to demonstrate your learning through drawing, video responses, open-ended responses, and audio responses. You can even do polls and slides.
A newer feature is that you can embed your Google Slides right into your Quizizz!
To import a Google Slides presentation into a Quizizz lesson, follow these steps:
Click on 'Create' on the left navigation pane. Select 'New Lesson'
Name the lesson and tag it (a maximum of 3 tags are allowed per lesson). Click on 'Next'
Select a template of your choice and click on 'Next'
Click on 'Import' on the left bottom pane
Click on 'Google Drive'. Choose the correct account to sync with Quizizz
Select what Quizizz can access and choose as per your requirement (this is a one-time requirement)
Click on 'Continue' to sync Quizizz with Google Slides
Your Google account and Quizizz are now synced. You can select your presentations to import them to a Quizizz lesson
Checkpoint offers an alternative to competitive game play. You choose the questions and terms students should be quizzed on, Checkpoint provides rich feedback to help inform future lessons.
