Well done to Woodpeckers who had our best attendance last week with 95%.
Otters continued their good run and came in 2nd place again with 94.7% and then our third best class was Caterpillars with 93.3%.
We are a little lower this week than the last few weeks. I know there will be some illnesses going around that mean staying at home - such as vomitting and diarrhoea - but for coughs and colds, children should still be attending.
Today we had an assembly and learnt about Katherine Johnson. She is the mathematician who worked with Nasa on their early missions to space and was instrumental in mankind reaching the moon.
Today we learnt more about the discrimination that she faced as child and how she overcame this to graduate from University and move onto working for NASA.
Central Bedfordshire are oofering an online information session that will offer parents the opportunity to find out the up-to-date issues children and young people face in a digital world – including grooming, cyber bullying, and the sending of indecent images. The session will also look at how the online space can also be used to criminal exploit children.
Their guest speaker is Richard Denton who leads the Bedfordshire Police Education and Diversion Team. Richard has been involved working alongside children and young people for over twenty years with the last fifteen focusing on policing in schools and other educational settings. He has a wealth of knowledge around vulnerability and exploitation with a particular specialism in digital safeguarding.

Our Parent Consultations are this week and hopefully you have seen a member of the team to sign up for a time. If you havent, please contact a member of staff to see what times are still available. It is really important that we have good comunication between home and school and that you are kept informed of how your child has settled into their new class. If you can't make the scheduled days, please speak to your child's teacher to find a convenient alternative.
Please find a poster of upcoming events for parents to support children's mental health.
