Well done to Woodpeckers who led the way last week with over 97.1% attendance. Foxes were a close 2nd with 95.9% but there was quite a drop to Otters in 3rd place with 91%.
There is more illness around at the moment. Children must stay at home if they have any sickness or diarhoea or if they are running a fever. Please remember to always inform us if your child is ill and to only keep them at home for a short a time as is necessary. Coughs, colds and sneezes are commonplace at this time of the year and are not usually severe enough to keep children at home.
Last Wednesday, some of our girls from KS2 played in a local Futsal tournament. The game which is a small-sided football game is played indoors with a heavier ball. The girls had a great time and played brilliantly to finish 3rd place. Well done to Rosie, Taiba, Elina, Irene, Delina, Inaaya, Abigail and Daisy.
There is still time to sign up for the Christmas Carols and Torchlight Procession. It is always a great event and kick-starts the Christmas period. If you would like your child to take part, please complete the google form by clicking on the link below:

I am very pleased to say that we have successfully recruited a new teacher for our Year 3 class. Mrs Lowther will be starting with us after Christmas and teaching Otters on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. She will hopefully be popping in a few times this term to get to know the children before she starts so they should get to meet her soon.
I am very sorry to say that Mrs Keane will be leaving us at Christmas. Her knowledge, dedication and commitment to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities has been hugely beneficial to the school and although we will miss her, she will be leaving us in a good position to carry on the good work she has started. We will advertise for a new SENDCO and hope to find someone with the same passion for supporting children with SEND.
Thank you to everyone who supported our efforts to raise money for Children in Need last Friday. We raised a fantastic £263 towards the charity which took us well beyond our target of £250.
