We have managed to keep the run of 99% going and this week it was Hedgehogs who scored a touch over with 99.03%. Not far behind at all were Woodpeckers with 98.67% and Foxes scored a very creditable 96.2%.
It is great to have seen so much green on the table this half term.
We are now looking firmly on course to join the Scholars Educational Trust on June 1st so the transfer should be complete when we return from the half term break.
A huge well done to Edward, Oliver, Jacob and Louie from Woodpeckers and the rest of their team - the Dunstable Town Tigers under 9s team - who won a local Beds mini soccer tournament this weekend. It's their first cup win but hopefully the first of many. Well done everyone!
Otters Class had some very surprising visitors in early May when a stone age settlement suddenly sprung up on the field. The children had the chance to experience what life would have been like thousands of years ago.
It was a lot of fun and as always, the learning is so much more powerful when experiencing it.
I am very pleased to say that the Book Fair will be visiting us again in June. It will be open from Thursday 12th June until Tuesday 17th June after school in the dining area. The fair are once again offering 3 for 2 on their books and we are able to take cash or card payments (please be aware that this will be through their online form which means you need to manually enter your payment details).
Are you a member of the library? Do you know that you can not only borrow paper books, but you can download audiobooks and ebooks too?
The library offer an app called Libby which allows you to select a variety of books that can be read or listened to on a device and can be a great way to enthuse children to read and enjoy stories. More details can be found by following the link below:

The summer holidays are a little way off yet, but the library service have announced the theme for their Summer Reading Challenge 2025. I will remind you again nearer the time but the reading challenge is a good way to keep children enthused with reading over the long summer holidays.
Early years are short of plastic food, plates etc and small world toys such as little people, animals, cars, boats, trucks etc. for our outside area. If you have any of these sort of toys that your child has outgrown but that are still in good condition we would welcome good quality donations.
We have also recently had a few balance bikes break beyond repair and so if you have any that you no longer need, we would love to give them a new home.
Thank you.
