TEACHER ASSESSED GRADES

The government said that exams and assessments could not be held fairly this year as a result of the disruption students have faced due to the pandemic. Teachers instead submitted grades to the exam boards. Students were only assessed on what they had been taught. The grade was based on their assessment of what they had shown students know and can do; enabling students to progress to the next stage of your education, training, or employment.

APPEALS

Stage 1: Centre Review

Please contact exams@walker.academy and complete the Stage 1 Centre Review document. Stage 1 appeals can be submitted from results day to 3 September. Stage 1 appeals will not be accepted after this date.

Stage 2: Appeal to the awarding organisations

An appeal can only be taken to stage 2 on completion of a Stage 1 Centre Review. Stage 2 appeals can be submitted from results day up until 17 September.

Priority appeals are only for students applying to higher education who did not attain their firm choice (i.e. the offer they accepted as their first choice) and wish to appeal an A level or other Level 3 qualification result. The window for students applying for a priority appeal is the 10th to the 16th August.
