APPLYING TO WRA

Newcastle City Council remains responsible for processing all admissions to Walker Riverside Academy; therefore all admissions must be completed online through them.

IN-YEAR ADMISSIONS

If your child is wishing to join us from an alternative Secondary School you will need to complete an In-Year application.

* Please note: If your child is already attending an alternative Newcastle Secondary School they will need to obtain a form from their current school office. Only students applying from a school outside of Newcastle can apply using the online form.

TRANSFER PLACES

A 'Transfer Place' applies when a child is moving from Primary to Secondary School.

If your child is leaving their Primary's Year 6 and would like to join us from Year 7 they will need to complete the online application via Newcastle City Council. Please follow the link below to complete your application.

WALKER RIVERSIDE FOOTBALL ACADEMY APPLICATIONS

Your child may hope to join our Academy as one of our Walker Riverside Football Academy cohort. 

All applications must still be processed as a Transfer Place by Newcastle City Council and be submitted in line with the timetable above. 

SEND APPLICATIONS

Our Admissions Policy, regarding those with SEN is that:

"Children who have a statement of Special Educational Needs (or an Education, Health and Care Plan) which names the school will be admitted to the school."
