This week's work continues from last weeks work on continents. By now you should have draw your continent flag design. You have 2 choices this week...
1) You can try to make the flag using fabric, card, paper, paint or anything you have a home to use for crafts.

This week's work continues from last weeks work on continents.
From the research you completed last week I am now going to ask you do design a flag for the continent you chose.
Normally flags are for countries not continents but I would like you to design one that would work for your whole continent.
The colours and designs on flags often represent that country they are for. For example the green on the Brazilian flag represents the rainforest.
I would like you to think about what you know of your continent and design a flag from there.
For example: If there are lots of deserts in your continent you could include yellow on your flag. If the continent has lost of forests you could use a leaf design. If there is an animals that only lives in your continent, maybe they could feature in the design too!
Remember that flags are a rectangular shape. (Which is perfect because so is a piece of paper!) and they rarely have words on them. Try to represent your continent without using any words! Use colours, and images to create a lovely design.
Flags are also usually very simple so don't make yours too complicated!

This week i would like you to pick one of the 7 continents and find out everything you can about its geography and climate.
Does it have.... Lakes? rivers? mountains? deserts? ice? rainforests? cities? is it sunny? is it cold? does it rain a lot? What is the temperature like?
This is all leading to an art project so look at as many pictures as you can!
