Burton on Trent based indie rock Singer Songwriter Jake O Scrimshaw is a fresh and exciting new act and is set to be let loose on the scene again with his latest project. ’2020 EP’ is the first release from Solo Artist Jake Scrimshaw, frontman of the current indie band EXTRAS. This release contains three punchy, melodic and also personal songs, all of which came to life in lockdown in the UK. This is an EP you need on a lazy sunday afternoon, a stroll in the country or a train ride!

Before the covid 19 pandemic Jake was gigging constantly with his indie outfit EXTRAS but also as a solo artist pushing his original music. Playing support slots in packed places such as The Leicester O2 Academy, Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham, The Chameleon arts club in Nottingham,The Venue in Derby and various festivals in Derbyshire such as The Sausage and Cider festival and the very popular Y Not Festival.

'2020 EP' consists of the single '2020 Vision', '30 Days' and 'Stick With It', all three tracks could have easily been singles, however 2020 Vision is very fitting for the EP! Inside this fresh release contains three heartfelt and impressionable anthems for the masses, primed and ready for when we get back to the festival fields and venues!

Commenting on the single '2020 Vision' Jake Scrimshaw said:

“The first couple of weeks of lockdown had truly kicked in and I was getting bored easily, so I looked in a random book on the shelf and found the phrase, '20/20 Vision'. Immediately after, the words "in our collision" popped into my head to go with it. I grabbed the guitar straight away and played what came to my head and it was the chorus you can hear now".
