The governing body of Blue Church, the Council, is composed of nine elected lay leaders who volunteer their time and give of their expertise to provide administrative guidance to the church. The church council is elected by the congregation and is responsible for congregational oversight. Church council oversees the finances, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, maintenance of the building, special projects and other areas of business as appropriate. The council works with Pastor all on church-related matters. Council members serve three-year terms. Any confirmed member of the congregation is welcome to apply to serve on council.

Current Council Members are: Pastor Hammond, Ron Fried (President), Sherry Farrell (Vice President), Ed Risi (Treasurer), Amy Ortwein (Secretary), Paula Clark, Karen Kelly, John Sumoski, Marcie Sumoski, and Roger Knappenberger.
